LibreOffice Viewer for Android: Help us fight for digital freedom!

It’s available on the Play Store and on F-Droid, and includes experimental editing support. But we want to go much further! You can help our community to improve it:

  • Report any bugs you find so that our QA volunteers can investigate
  • If you have some technical knowledge, build the latest version and test it out (new features are being added regularly)
  • And if you have some experience developing Android apps, we’d love to have your help! Start with the README to get an overview of the app and source code tree, and see here for information on submitting patches

    Does the full-feature version of LibreOffice for GNU/Linux work nicely on 5 inch screens? This would enable the full-feature version of LibreOffice for GNU/Linux to run nicely on the Librem 5 phone.

    A really important part of the LO project.

    Looks like there is finally some progress on the version in F-Droid (it has been stuck at 5.2 for a long time). https://f-droid.org/wiki/page/LibreOffice_Viewer

    Where is the F-Droid version? I use LibreOffice to *not* use Google Docs etc.

    Perhaps Android devices will soon be able to run Debian packages too.

    Would resources (time, money, etc) be better invested in prioritizing the full-featured version of LibreOffice for GNU+Linux to work nicely with with small screens too?
