On Tuesday, September 22nd, there will be a Community Dinner at Restaurant Flammen: http://conference.libreoffice.org/2015/events/community-dinner/.

On Wednesday, September 23rd, there will be a Conference Dinner at Restaurant Bone’s: http://conference.libreoffice.org/2015/events/wednesday-dinner/.

On Thursday, September 24, there will be a HackFest & Party at the Aarhus University: http://conference.libreoffice.org/2015/events/hack-fest-and-party/.

To better organize the three events, all interested conference participants are kindly requested to register using the form that can be found in each event page. Only people registered will have access to the events in Aarhus.

LibreOffice Conference 2015 will open in a month

The Dokk1 is the brand new Mediaspace of the city, featuring the Main Library and Citizens’ Services

LibreOffice Conference 2015 will be hosted in the Auditorium and in the Meeting Area of the beautiful building, designed by Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects and part of the conversion of Aarhus inner harbour to city space.

Registration is open at http://conference.libreoffice.org/2015/registration/, while the program will be announced in late August.

The conference will be hosted by the City of Aarhus, and will be jointly organized by the Danish LibreOffice community together with local F/OSS groups and the Aarhus municipality. Logistics are managed by the not-for-profit organisation “Foreningen Dansk LibreOffice Konference 2015”.

Registration for the LibreOffice Conference is now open

Berlin, Juli 1st, 2015 – Registration for the LibreOffice Conference, which will be hosted by the Danish city of Aarhus from September 23 to September 25, 2015, is now open at: http://conference.libreoffice.org/2015/registration/.

Call for Papers is still open until July 15, 2015. Details on the tracks and the call for papers are available at: http://conference.libreoffice.org/2015/call-for-papers/. Tracks are about Development, Quality Assurance, Localization, Documentation and Native Language Projects, Ease of Use, Design and Accessibility, Migrations and Deployments, Certifications and Best Practices, ODF, Document Liberation and Interoperability, and Building a Business around LibreOffice.

LibreOffice Conference Sponsorship Packages

The LibreOffice Conference 2015 will be hosted by the city of Aarhus, the second largest in Denmark, from September 23 to September 25. The event gathers developers, designers, localizers, documenters, supporters, marketers and users of the leading free office suite, to get an update about the project and learn about its future.

LibreOffice Conference Call for Papers

Berlin, May 4, 2015 – LibreOffice Conference will be held in Aarhus, Denmark, on September 23-25, 2015, at the Urban Media Space and is hosted by the Aarhus Municipality. The Document Foundation invites members and volunteers to submit proposals for papers.

Proposals should be filed by July 15, 2015, in order to guarantee that they will be considered for inclusion in the conference program.

Presentations, case studies, workshops and technical talks will discuss a subject in depth, and will last 60 minutes (including Q&A). Lightning talks will cover a specific topic and will last 20 minutes (including Q&A). Sessions will be streamed live and recorded for download.

Aarhus WaterfrontBerlin, October 17, 2014 – The Document Foundation (TDF) announces that the LibreOffice Conference 2015 will be jointly organized by the Danish LibreOffice community in collaboration with local F/OSS groups and the Aarhus municipality, and hosted at the brand new Urban Media Space, from September 23 to September 25, 2015.

In addition, on September 22 the LibreOffice community will gather for several face-to-face meetings: Board of Directors, Advisory Board, Engineering Steering Committee, and Certification Committee.

Aarhus is a city of education, knowledge and research. Its university is internationally recognized for its contributions within, among other fields, social sciences, technology and science. Aarhus is known to attract talented students from around the world which also provides the city with a great diversity.

“Hosting the LibreOffice Conference will be an exciting opportunity for the entire Danish free software community”, says Leif Lodahl, a long time leader of the Danish LibreOffice community, a founder of The Document Foundation, and the architect of several large migration projects to LibreOffice. “We are looking forward to welcoming LibreOffice volunteers and advocates from every corner of the world”.
