LibreOffice IRC channels moving to Libera.Chat
Many projects in the LibreOffice community use IRC (Internet Relay Chat) to communicate. This is a real-time text-based communication protocol that’s popular amongst many free and open source software projects.
We are moving our IRC channels to a new host, Libera.Chat, which is run by a Swedish non-profit organisation. Here’s an alphabetical list of the current channels – for more information, see our wiki:

Thanks to everyone who participates in our IRC channel discussions, and keeps LibreOffice moving forward!
Will all of the current bridges work that are available on the Freenode network? By that I mean the likes of telegram etc.
When will this change be from or is it live now?
If this is a date in the future when will freenode cease to be used at all?
For Telegram: users don’t have to do anything, as the bots are moved and should now point to the new channels on Libera.Chat. Users connecting directly will have to change their client’s configuration to point to the new server, and Matrix users should now be able to use the system-wide bridge, although it still is not officially public, and still considered beta – so it might have some hiccups (#:libera.chat).
@John: I don’t think there is any way to prevent the current channels from hanging around on Freenode forever. Especially if it is in the interest of the Freenode maintainers to maintain the illusion that it is the home of them.
