LibreOffice 4.3.4 “Fresh” is immediately available for download from the following link: http://www.libreoffice.org/download/.
LibreOffice users, free software advocates and community members can support The Document Foundation with a donation at http://donate.libreoffice.org.
When you click to download the latest version of LibreOffice a page is loaded where among other things some photos are shown. Every time that page loads the first photo is of a man with a beard and a jacket, pointing to something and looking seriously to the side. Why was that particular photo picked to be displayed as the first impression of the download page? Does that photo generate more donations than some other images? Does it convey what LibreOffice is about? There is nothing wrong with it per se but I’m a bit curious. Since a whole lot of people likely see that page I’m sure you’ll want to design it in a way that generates as much donation income as possible.
Why don’t we see news items of this release in Google news & tech magazines? Has there been a proper Press release?
