Linux Journal Best Office Suite 2012

I don’t think that the screenshots need additional comments: LibreOffice is THE free office suite of reference for the Linux environment, surpassing every other software by a factor of six, and LibreOffice Writer is THE best single office program (sharing the spot with OOo Writer, hopefully for the last time, as LibreOffice is the de facto standard for all Linux distributions since 2011).

Independence, democracy and meritocracy pay off (could anyone have doubts about this, after 10 years under the corporate umbrella?).

  2. I simply could not agree more. I absolutely love this program. I don’t know why anyone would use any thing else. Thank you all for the hard work. Please don’t stop, the future of our children depend on people like you.

  4. Our future and our children’s do depend on you. :) The first place I used LibreOffice was when I got Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) and checked it out. The new office suite was so lovable! :P I saw the recommendation of LibreOffice on FileHippo.com and decided to try it for WIndows too, and only keep MS Office because there are some of my MS Office Word Documents (maybe the ones I created with Office 2010) which LibreOffice Writer couldn’t open. Thank you so much, The Document Foundation! Your work is making the world go round!
